A Fresh Chapter for Heather Wheaton Photography

If you've been following my journey over the years, you've probably noticed that my business has evolved. As I begin my third season of school photography, I'm excited to officially share that Heather Wheaton Photography is now dedicated exclusively to Fine Art School Photography.

This decision came after a great deal of reflection and a realization that I've found where my heart truly belongs.

Since picking up my camera in 2014, I've had the incredible privilege of photographing so many wonderful Kern County families. From newborns and family sessions to high school seniors, you've trusted me with some of life's most meaningful milestones. To every family who invited me into your lives, thank you. Your support, encouragement, and referrals helped build this business, and I will always be grateful.

As my business grew, so did my passion for school photography. With a background in Child, Adolescent & Family Studies and experience teaching young children, I discovered that picture day is where I can combine my love of photography with my passion for helping children feel comfortable, confident, and truly seen.

Focusing exclusively on schools allows me to serve more children, build lasting relationships with the schools and communities I partner with, and continue supporting my own family doing work that I genuinely love.

To every school that has trusted me over the past three seasons, thank you for welcoming me into your community. It is an honor to create portraits that families will treasure for years to come.

Here's to this next chapter. I can't wait to continue serving schools throughout California and preserving the beautiful, fleeting moments of childhood—one picture day at a time.
